Yesterday we spent most of 2001 the day shopping, both for Christmas and our home improvements. It started off with another trip to IKEA, this one of course being the most expensive yet. Melissa picked out the kitchen cabinets that she wanted and counter top, I was “allowed” to select the hardware. Oh Joy… At least I like them though. From there, it was back to the house to put Daniel down for his nap while Mom went looking for a range top and an overhead microwave with exhaust to be placed over the range top. She found the range top, but not the microwave. |

| Melissa stockings ended up purchasing matting kit. If she can create her own matting like they showed in the demonstration, we should have some pretty cool framed pics on the wall stockings soon. I ended up picking up a new shower head for the shower we had redone a while back. Hopefully THIS one stockings doesn’t leak. From there we went to B&N where I picked up a copy of Beginning XML, 2nd Edition. Besides school books, this is the first book I’ve bought in some time. I need to get a handle on this XML stuff While I was there I noticed several books written by several folks whom also have blogs and I read often. Kind of a neat feeling knowing that you can communicate with these authors so easily with a weblog.
